Posting this topic wasn't my first post, it was my second. But yeah, I really don't think you should ban me... considering the boards level of activity. I really wish I knew about this place back in the day. Anyway...

Of course I used save states. That's pretty much the only way to make something sweet like this... unless you want to spend a truly TRULY obscene amount of time on something so trivial.

Even so, it wasn't easy. You must formulate cool and entertaining things to do with the given enemy positions, which in itself can be frustrating (unless you want to do a bunch of boring trite stuff... otherwise it does take SOME thought). Then, you must get your position and timing down just right, which can be very difficult, especially with moving targets. Once you have that dialed in right, you have to actually perform the kill, which is extremely difficult considering the type of stuff I did. Getting everything just right can be mind-shatteringly annoying. And all that perfectly timed "flying" jump stuff. Jesus... do you know how #!$$%!@ hard that can be? DO YOU?!?

And that super high triple flip kill... the enemies I was targeting weren't even there 70% of the #!$$%!@ time I was actually successful on doing the flips. That is epically frustrating.

Especially considering that I kept trying until I had 2 to 6 successful takes for each kill, with slight variation. I wanted it to look just right. Oh, and those shots with the altered camera... do you have any idea of the trouble I had to go through? Ugh. I had 5 more minutes worth of stuff that wasn't in the video. 3 minutes of it was cut scene stealth kills with a bunch of sweet altered camera work... the time spent on that stuff... ugh. Doing that stuff well is very challenging and time consuming, damn it.

I spent much time and effort on this, so please, don't spout off accusations of cheating, or acuse my effort to be worthless because I used save states. You apparently don't understand the process I used and the trouble it came with. I don't claim to have done these things on the spot... I mean, duh... come on.

This isn't a representation of my skill (like my actual mission play-throughs are), because this @#$% is essentially impossible to do accurately, on the spot, with consistency. The game wasn't designed with such things in mind ( if it was, they did a horrible job). I just wanted to show the potential of the game and it's engine. I just wanted to make the most awesome looking compilation of Tenchu kills to date. And I think I succeeded. Unless you can show me something better.
